What we are doing
BBV are continuing works near the M42 M6 link road for the construction of viaducts that will carry the HS2 railway over the M42 M6
link road. As our works continue in the area, we will carry out extra carriageway cleaning operations along the M42 M6 link road eastbound. This cleaning programme will be in addition to the daily mitigation measures we have in place and will ensure that impact from our work to the highway is reduced as much as possible.
In order to complete these works safely, we will install an overnight closure on the M42 M6 link road eastbound on Thursday 25 May. The closure will be in place from 9.00pm on Thursday evening until 5.00am on Friday morning.
Throughout this closure a clear diversion route will be installed. The diversion will follow the M6 southbound until junction 4, via the A446 and A452 southbound. Following this, road users will be able to follow the A45 westbound to the M42.
Our contractors may be on site up to an hour before and after these times to set up and close down the site
