What we are doing
Removal of the Wycombe Single Line bridge
We will be removing the Wycombe Single Line bridge from Saturday 27 May to Monday 29 May. The work will be carried out under a full road and footway closure of Old Oak Common Lane to ensure public safety. The work will involve cutting the bridge deck into sections and lifting the deck sections using a crane. The bridge needs to be removed as Old Oak Common
Lane will be widened and lowered in a few years. The existing lane closure will remain in place for future works.

The working hours will be Saturday to Monday, 8am to 8pm. We will aim to finish work by 6pm each day and will only work till 8pm if there are delays to the programme.
In the event of adverse weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, we may also need to work on Tuesday 30 May and Wednesday 31 May. We will notify you in advance if we need to work on these days.
We will be using noise blocking covers to minimise noise disturbance and vibration levels will be monitored. During this time there will be increased noise and vibration and we will be using various tools and machinery, including trucks, cranes, saw cutters and drills.
