Location
A47 Heartlands Parkway from Cuckoo Lane roundabout to Saltley Viaduct Roundabout

Duration
• For four nights from 19 February until 22 February from 8pm until 6am
• Full 24/7 closure on A47 from 22February until 7 March
• Traffic Management on Roundabout from 7 March until 30 April

What we are doing
Heartlands Parkway will be closed between Aston Church Road and Saltley Viaduct from 22 February for two weeks. To provide the shortest possible diversion route, we will install a temporary road surface on the Aston Church Road Roundabout. This will allow vehicles to temporarily turn right and continue their journey north on Heartlands Parkway during the closure. When Heartlands Parkway reopens on 7 March, the current left‑turn‑only configuration at the roundabout will be reinstated. This arrangement will remain in place until the end of April to allow for the installation of new drainage.

What to expect
A fully signed diversion will be in place.

HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
