Notice of overnight road closures and other traffic management at Biddle’s Loop (Junction of A452/A446) – Marston Green

What we are doing

BBV have been significantly reconfiguring the junction of the A446 Stonebridge Road and A452 Chester Road near Birmingham Business Park to facilitate the construction of a bridge that will take the new railway over the M42. As this work comes near to completion, we will be undertaking a series of finishing works that will include tree planting, landscaping, new signage, new street furniture, permanent footpaths and other improvements to the public realm.

The final phase of this work will necessitate a closure of the southbound slip road known as Biddle’s Loop and a part of the southbound carriageway of the A452 in front of Melbick’s Garden centre. To reduce the impact, we will only close the road on weeknights from 9pm until 6am starting on 3 June until 14 June.

Once the overnight works are complete, we will reopen one lane of both the north and southbound carriageway before fully reopening the road on 30 August 2024.
