Monday 26 January 2026 for approximately 5 months.
What we are doing
We need to complete some piling works to construct the new Rykneld Street Overbridge Impactful activities, that may generate more noise will take place during core working hours (8am – 6pm). We anticipate less impactful activities will continue from 6pm onwards until midnight to minimise disruption to the local community.
What to expect
Noise will be generated during piling works. Low-level noise will be generated during less impactful working hours.There will be no additional traffic management measures and impact to road users.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
