Notice of pipeline diversion works north of Curborough, Lichfield

What we are doing

We have finished preparation activities and have left the area so that other HS2 works can progress. We will be returning to start site set-up and main work to move the pipeline on 26 April 2021.
The works involve:
• Setting up a temporary works compound on land north of Wood End Lane (see map overleaf).
• Installing fencing around our working area.
• Digging a trench for the new pipeline.
• Welding the pipe together then installing it in the trench.
• Connecting and testing the new pipe.
There will be 24-hour security on site so we can maintain a safe working environment. Please note, there will be no on-site lodging.

While we are on-site, we’ll need to close a section of the footpath that runs north of Wood End Lane during the usual HS2 working hours. We’ll ensure it’s safe to use at other times by fencing this off from our site access and working area. Signs will be in place to make people aware. We apologise for any inconvenience that the footpath closure may cause.
Construction vehicles will be accessing the site off Wood End Lane and signs will be in place to make other road users aware. Standard construction vehicles and equipment will be used, and all work will take place inside usual working hours.
