What we are doing
**Update**
We previously contacted you to advise that this work will start on 8 January 2024. BBV work very closely with National Highway who are also working in this location. To avoid the impact of consecutive closures in this area we now intend to start our works on 15 January 2024.
The new railway will pass under the A45 as it approaches the new interchange station. This requires significant work to this section of the A45 and the adjoining slip road known as ‘East Way’. Before these works can take place, a number of utilities need to be moved and diverted to make sure that our works do not have an impact on the supply. To do this safely we will need to close the road overnight, every night for six weeks beginning on 15 January until 17 February 2024. The works will take place overnight each night between 8pm and 6am. A signed diversion will be in place, details of the route are on the notification. There will also be a lane closure on the A45 eastbound for safety purposes.
These works are subject to consent.
