Duration
We will close Meriden Road from Monday 23 February 2026 to Sunday 8 March 2026. The road closure will be in place between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday.
What we are doing
As part of our ongoing work to construct the River Blythe Viaduct we need to close Meriden Road so that we can install the deck beams. The closure is required so that we can complete our work safely.
What to expect
A fully signposted diversion route will be in place throughout the closure. There will be increased construction activity during the closure, and you will experience some disruption to your travel times. Please plan ahead to avoid delays to your journey.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
