What we are doing
We recently communicated the weekend closures coming up. We have now updated the closure times below.
The Fosse Way will now only be closed from 12 noon to 10pm. The dates remain unchanged:
- Phase one: Saturday 29 November to Sunday 30 November 2025
- Phase two: Saturday 6 December to Sunday 7 December 2025
- Phase three: Saturday 13 December to Sunday 14 December 2025
We will be working on the installation of the expansion joints on the B4555 Fosse Way. Increased levels of construction activity with some travel disruption. Access for cyclists and pedestrians will be maintained throughout the works. There will be a fully signed posted diversion route in place.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
