Duration
Phase one: Monday 9 February – Sunday 15 February 2026, off peak weekday closures will be in place between 9.30am – 3.30pm, with traffic lights overnight and at the weekend.
Phase two: Monday 16 February to Friday 20 February 2026 there will be a full road closure in place.
What we are doing
We will be constructing carriageway drainage along the B4555 Fosse Way.
What to expect
Access for cyclists and pedestrians will be maintained throughout the works. There will be a fully signed posted diversion route in place.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
