What we are doing
We will be carrying out utility diversion and connection tasks in collaboration with Thames Water and SSE.
Location
Buckingham Road, A4421 old road between Newton Purcell and Barton Hartshorn.
Duration
Road Closure – 8:00am to 10:00pm
- Monday 20 April to 1 May 2026
Weekend Road Closures – 8:30pm to 5:30am
- 8 May to 11 May 2026
- 15 May to 18 May 2026
What to expect
A small section of the old Buckingham Road (Former A4421) will be closed. This closure will not affect traffic on the main A4421.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
