What we are doing
Featherbed Lane Overbridge Realignment – We are completing the realignment of the Featherbed Lane overbridge, which will carry traffic over the HS2 line. This work involves several key elements, including utility diversions and connections, tying in the old road to the new alignment, and decommissioning the temporary road currently in use.

Church Lane junction and Featherbed Lane, Mixbury.
Duration
Road closure 20 April to 05 June 2026.
What to expect
A full road closure will be in place 24/7, with a diversion route available. Please allow extra time for your journey. Please also note that these works are subject to the necessary consents.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
