Duration
On Saturday 21 February 2026 there will be daytime closure in place between 7am- 2pm.
From Wednesday 25 February 2026 to Tuesday 24 March 2026 there will be a full road closure in place.
What we are doing
We are completing the new road realignment of Hunningham Road and reconnecting a number of utility services.
What to expect
There will be a signed posted diversion route in place during the closure, please plan your journey ahead. See page two for map information. Access to properties, for cyclists and pedestrians will be maintained throughout the closure.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
