Notice of road closure – Lavender Hall Lane – Berkswell

What we are doing

*UPDATE – We previously contacted you to advice that we would need to close the road on 8 June only. We now intend to close the road on 30 May, 31 May and 3 June in addition to the 8 June in order to dig some investigative trial holes.*

The new railway will pass under a new bridge on Lavender Hall Lane and alongside a newly realigned Park Lane before entering a deep cutting. The access to Park Lane from Lavender Hall Lane will be slightly to the south of the existing road. BBV have built a temporary road diversion for Lavender Hall Lane to allow traffic to bypass our worksite while we construct the new the bridge. Before we can start this work there is an overhead electricity supply cable that crosses the road near Lavender Hall Autos garage that will need to be moved so that our works do not interrupt the supply. On 8 June we will need to close Lavender Hall Lane to install a new pole to support the diverted electrical supply.

There will be a fully signed diversion via Meriden and access for residents within the closure will be maintained. Please note that for safety reasons when Lavender Hall Lane is closed Solihull MBC require us to also close Baulk Lane, again access for residents within the closure will be maintained.

The road will be closed from 7am until 2pm starting on 8 June. However, we will reopen the road as early as it is safe to do so.
