What we are doing
We are installing a foul water main along a section of Portway Road. The new main is being provided for the Infrastructure Maintenance Depot and will connect into the existing drainage network.
What to expect
A section of Portway Road will be closed and a signed diversion route in place Access for residents within the road closure will be maintained throughout
these works. Changes to the scheduled bus service will be communicated separately by the service provider. Existing school bus provision will be maintained and follow the diversion route indicated.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area
