8am Tuesday 7 April 2026 to 6pm Sunday 30 August 2026.The closure will be in place 24 hours a day.
What we are doing
We will be carrying out a programme of utility works on Cromwell Lane, including relocation of multiple sets of utilities and highway surfacing works, to return Cromwell Lane to its original alignment. To carry out these works we will close Cromwell Lane to create a safe working environment. Our working hours will be
from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays.
What to expect
Increased levels of construction activity and some disruption to your travel times.Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained throughout the work with a fully signed diversion route.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
