What we are doing
We are developing designs for junction improvement to support traffic flow. We have completed above ground penetrating radar and topographical surveys to help inform future construction design. Our next step is to carry out surveys below ground that involves pavement coring, bore holes, trial pits on and off the highway. These will provide us with samples and allow us to view the structure and record the layout of land.
To carry out this work safely we will need to close separate sections of the A513 Beaconside and Hydrant Way Stafford.
The work will take place from Tuesday 11 April to Wednesday 26 April 2023 from 9pm to 5am. To limit disruption, we will only be closing one location at a time. Please note that all our planned roadworks may be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstance.
• Road closure: A513 Beaconside, including the entrance on to Marston Lane and the exit on to Common Road from Tuesday 11 April to Tuesday 18 April
• Road closure: A513 Beaconside, including the entrance on to the B5066 Sandon Road (towards Sandon) from Thursday 20 April to Wednesday 26 April
• Road closure: Hydrant Way and lane closure on Weston Road from Friday 14 April to Friday 21 April
