What we are doing
Further to our January update, we are continuing works to complete the overbridge and finalise the new road alignment.
This includes delivering the necessary improvements highlighted through our road safety audits, as well as undertaking some adjustment works at the western tie-in.

Duration
We would like to update you on the current closure. To complete the final remedial works, the road closure has been extended until mid-April 2026.
What to expect
A full road closure 24 hours a day on a section of Radstone Road between Brackley and Helmdon.
The road remains open on the old alignment for pedestrians and cyclists, however we ask cyclists to dismount when travelling through the works area.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
