Notice of road closure update, Main Street, Chetwode

What we are doing

As part of our continued preparatory works we will need to close a section of Main Street with a local diversion route in place. This closure is for the temporary diversion of utilities cables while we build a new permanent overbridge that will provide access to Manthorne Farm as well as the permanent realignment of the Preston Bissett Road and Main Street junction. We are required to fully close this section of road, 24 hours a day, until they are complete as our teams will be working in open trenches directly in the carriage way. This is for the safety of road users and our staff.

When will these works take place?

A section of Main Street will be fully closed, 24 hours a day, with a signed diversion route on the following dates:
• Monday 5 February to Wednesday 28 February
• Monday 4 March to Saturday 30 March
