Updated notice of road closure with temporary traffic lights on B4113 Stoneleigh Road, Stoneleigh

What we are doing

We are progressing works on the construction for the realignment of B4113 Stoneleigh Road. In preparation for the phased works starting in 2026, we will need to do some utilities investigatory works along the carriageway. To carry out the works in a safe and secure environment, we will need a daytime road closure with temporary traffic lights.

We recently communicated the works on B4113 Stoneleigh Road would be in place from Monday 1 December until Saturday 13 December 2025. Following the discovery of uncharted utilities, we will now need to extend the traffic management. The road closure will stay in place until 3.30pm on Tuesday 16 December, followed by 3-way traffic lights until 6pm on Friday 19 December. Everything else will remain the same: B4113 Stoneleigh Road will continue to be closed between 9.30am and 3.30pm, from Monday to Friday and Saturday from 7am to 2pm. Outside of these times, the road will be open with temporary traffic lights.

Access to properties, and for cyclists and pedestrians will be maintained throughout the works. You may notice increased levels of construction activity and some travel disruption. There will be a fully signed diversion in place to help drivers navigate their way.

HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
