What we are doing

To complete the detailed design for the proposed footbridge over the A500, we need to understand the position of a pressurised sewer pipe that runs parallel to the A500. To do this, we will insert a probe through the pressurised pipe so we can trace it from ground level. We do not need to close the sewer so there will be no changes to residents’ private utilities. We will access the pipe through the Severn Trent compound and will need to drill an opening into it to insert the probe. While we do this there will be some noise, but this will only be for a short period of time. To minimise disruption to residents, we will carry out this work during the day.

When we are working

We will carry out the work on Tuesday 3 May 2022.
Please note that if we are unable to complete the work on the pipe connection, we will return the following day.
