What we are doing
Works to the redundant part of the Stamford Brook Sewer
We wrote to you in March to let you know that the newly diverted Stamford Brook Sewer works have completed, and the sewer is operational.
The Stamford Brook Sewer passes under the Great Western Railway tracks and into the HS2 Old Oak Common Station.
Before the digging of the new HS2 platforms could start, a section of the Stamford Brook Sewer pipe had to be diverted away from the below ground platforms location.
We now need to backfill the old, redundant sewer with foam concrete. These works are taking place underground and will remove the risk of the redundant sewer collapsing at a later date.
These works are taking place inside the HS2 Old Oak Common Station site in the approximate location shown on the map on page two.
