What we are doing

B4101 Waste Lane, Balsall Common
Duration
Due to adverse weather conditions, we are unable to reopen Waste Lane on Sunday 8 February 2026 as we have communicated previously. Waste Lane will remain closed until 6pm on Tuesday 10 February 2026.
What we are doing
Completing road surfacing and white lining so that we can reopen Waste Lane on the new alignment.
What to expect
Access for residents will be managed by our traffic management team. It will not be possible to allow pedestrians and cyclists through the closure.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
