What we are doing
Since 2017, we have been remodelling and improving sections of the existing road network near Northway Island and creating new routes on HS2 land. Upon completion, a new T-junction will replace Northway Island. A new ‘longabout’ is already in operation outside the Holiday Inn Express NEC, on the way to the National Exhibition Centre (NEC).
We need to conduct some maintenance to the verges on the M42 overbridge.
Single lane closures, weekdays and off peak only, between 18 September to 5 October 2023
Single lane closures will be in place on the M42 overbridge from 18 September to 5 October 2023, week days only, from 9.30am to 3.30pm. The work will start on the northbound side and then switch to the southbound side (see map on notification below).
If this work can be completed ahead of schedule, the lane closures will be removed in advance of the 5 October.
These works are subject to obtaining the relevant consents.
