What we are doing
The new railway will approach the A45 in a deep cutting. Before we excavate this cutting, we need to carefully divert an electricity cable so that our works do not interrupt the supply. The cable crosses Diddington Lane near the entrance to Diddington Hall and Diddington Farm. To complete this diversion safely we will need to close the road at 8pm on 7 May until 6am on the 8 May and 8pm on 8 May until 6am on the 9 May to excavate a trench. When the road reopens at 6am on the 8 May we will have installed four-way traffic lights which will be in place until 8pm on 14 May when the road will be closed while we reinstate the trench. This part of the road reopened at 6am on 15 May. Access for residents of Diddington Farm will be manged by our Traffic Safety Officers.
