What we are doing
We will be carrying out utility trial hole surveys and pothole repairs on Wolseley drive via Bromford Lane overnight on three consecutive weekends. These will start on Saturday 5 August 2023 and will be complete on Sunday 20 August.
To complete these trial hole inspections, we will use a vacuum excavator which uses compressed air to loosen or agitate the ground. The loosened material is then removed using the vacuum on the machine creating a hole. At times we will also use hand digging tools to excavate the trial holes. Once the surveys are carried out, we will backfill and reinstate all trial holes. We do not expect this activity to cause high levels of noise or vibration.
Lane closure on Bromford Lane – Northbound
To be able to carry out these inspections safely and effectively, we will need to put in place a lane closure on Bromford Lane. Access to properties and businesses will be maintained throughout.
We plan to carry out the works on the following dates and times:
Saturday 5 August 8.00pm – Sunday 6 August 1.00am
Saturday 12 August 8.00pm – Sunday 13 August 1.00am
Saturday 19 August 8.00pm – Sunday 20 August 1.00am
