Notice of utility works preparation near Swynnerton Road, Stafford

What we are doing

Before the main work to move the pipeline starts, Cadent will carry out some preparation activities from mid-February until April 2022.

The work will involve:
• Setting up a temporary works compound on land north of Tittensor Road -there will be no on-site lodging.
• Setting up site accesses off Swynnerton Road and Tittensor Road.
• Trimming back hedgerows. Cadent will carry out appropriate ecological surveys before any vegetation clearance. Their ecologist will be present throughout the activity to ensure there is no disruption to birds and local wildlife.
• Digging archaeological trenches on land north of Tittensor Road.

So that we can maintain safety for all road users, we need to put in place a reduced speed limit of 30mph along Tittensor Road. This has been discussed and agreed with the local authority, and will remain in place throughout all our work to ensure safe site access for our vehicles.

How will this affect you?

All work will take place within standard HS2 working hours and will be undertaken using standard industry methods. There may be some noise during the work , however this will only be for a few hours. As the work progresses, we will send you notifications to let you know what will be happening.
