What we are doing
UPDATE
We previously contacted you to advise that the A452 Kenilworth Road would be closed from the Park Lane Roundabout to the Meriden Road Roundabout from 6am on 20 April and until at 8pm on 21 April. After reviewing our programme of work, we are pleased to advise that we are now able to keep more of the road open than we initially planned. Please see the maps on page three of the notification.
The new railway will pass under a newly realigned Kenilworth Road between the Meriden Road Roundabout and the Aston Martin Roundabout. There are a number of utilities that cross beneath the road in this location that need to be carefully diverted so that our works do not impact on the supply to residents and businesses.
You may already be aware that we have been working in the verges under lane closures, we now need to work in the central reservation and create a crossing point from one side of the carriageway to the other. Regrettably this can only be done under a full road closure.
To minimise the disruption, the team intend to do this work over a two-day period during a weekend only. To further minimise future disruption, we intend to use this closure to carry out other maintenance including a deep clean of the carriageway, uncovering the curb lines and clearing the drainage channels of detritus.
Access to resident and business will be maintained throughout including to the truck stop and garden centre via an escort system. Please observe the directional signage
