Notice of weekend closure of A452 Kenilworth Road – Meriden

What we are doing

The new railway will pass under a newly realigned Kenilworth Road between the Meriden Road Roundabout and Bradnocks Marsh (Aston Martin) Roundabout. There are several utilities that cross beneath the road in this location that need to be carefully diverted so that our works do not impact supplies to residents and businesses. You may already be aware that we have been working in the verges under lane closures.

We now need to work in the central reservation and create a crossing point from one side of the carriageway to the other. To complete these works safely we will install temporary weekend closures of the A452.

To minimise disruption, our team will work two intensive 48-hour shifts during two weekends at the end of January and beginning of February 2025.

First closure – The traffic management will start at 6am on Saturday 25 January and fully reopen at 6am Monday 27 January 2025.

Second closure – The traffic management will start at 6am on Saturday 1 February and fully reopen at 6am Monday 3 February 2025.

Access for residents and businesses will be maintained throughout the closure and a fully signed diversion will be in operation. Please follow the directional signs.

Please note that there will be further closures during 2025. We will share a communication in the new year once the details are confirmed.
