What we are doing
Over two weekends, we will be connecting a section of Boddington Road to the temporary link road to restore connectivity to Claydon Village. As well as installing the maintenance access road entrance onto Wormleighton Road, in Wormleighton.
Location
Wormleighton Road, Wormleighton and Banbury Road Link Road nr Boddington.
Duration
Weekend 1: 8pm Friday 17 April to 6am Monday 20 April 2026.
Weekend 2: 8pm Friday 24 April to 6am Monday 27 April 2026.
If we are unable to complete these works due to poor weather or programme delay, we will require a closure on these contingency dates: 8pm Friday 8 May to 6am Monday 11 May 2026.
What to expect
- The closure of Wormleighton Road.
- Workforce and machinery in the road.
- Overnight working on Friday and Saturday nights near the link road.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
