What we are doing
Following our site safety stand down, we have now begun a safe restart of works across our worksites in Euston Approaches. We are continuing our programme of utility diversion works in the southern section of Hampstead Road, near Varndell Street.
On 21 October we will move to the next phase of our programme. We will continue to close the southbound lane on Hampstead Road, and Varndell Street will remain closed.
Cardington Street will also be closed. Vehicle access to Regent’s Park estate will be via Robert Street.We will maintain two way traffic on Hampstead Road using temporary traffic lights.
We will continue to monitor the traffic management and reduce impacts where possible. We apologise for any inconvenience these works may
cause.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
