What we are doing

We will be carrying out works and activities in the Old Oak and North Acton area between Monday 2 March to Monday 1 June 2026.

Old Oak and North Acton works and activities

Victoria Road Crossover Box
• Concrete works, installation of steel and utility services to further build the plantroom structure
• Concrete works and installation of steel in the ventilation shaft and crossover box
• Building retaining walls around the ventilation shaft and headhouse structures

Core working hours: 8am to 6pm (Monday to Friday), 8am to 1pm (Saturday)

Willesden Euroterminal

• Storage and transport of tunnel segments to Atlas Road Logistics Tunnel via conveyor system and rail. Rail movements will take place up to five times a day
• Maintenance activities

Working hours: 24 hours a day, seven days a week

Atlas Road Logistics Tunnel site

• Staff on-site to support Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) Euston Tunnel works
• Transport of soil to Willesden Euroterminal site via conveyor belt
• Storage and transport of tunnel segments to Old Oak Common Station site
• Maintenance activities

Working hours: 24 hours a day, seven days a week

Victoria Road Crossover Box

• Cranes in use for Old Oak Common Tunnel and Northolt Tunnel works
• Maintenance activities

Old Oak Common Tunnel

• Continuing phase 2A sprayed concrete lining and waterproofing works to secure tunnel walls

Working hours: 24 hours a day, seven days a week

Flat Iron site

• Concrete breaking and use of a concrete mixing pump
• Transportation of concrete to build Northolt Tunnel walkways
• Further dismantling of conveyor sections
• Maintenance activities
• Vehicle holding area in us

Working hours: 24 hours a day, seven days a week

HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
