What we are doing
To continue our works for M42 Coleshill Box Structure, that will carry the HS2 railway over the M42 and M6 Toll, we will complete works to install long-term traffic management on the M42 M6 link road. The traffic management will involve closing lane one and the hard shoulder of the M42 M6 link road southbound connector. This will reduce the lane organisation from two running lanes of traffic to one running lane of traffic. This work is subject to consent.
To ensure the safety of the road users and our workforce as we install the long-term traffic management, we will put an overnight closure in place along the eastbound carriageway of the M42 M6 link road from 9pm on Thursday 24 August until 5am on Friday 25 August.
