What we are doing
Update: Below works planned from 3 February to 21 March were postponed due to delays in finalising permissions for these works, they will now be carried out from 10 March to 18 April 2025.
From 10 March to 18 April 2025, we will be removing ground drainage pipes from the southern side of the Mandeville Road Vent Shaft site. A saw will be used to cut up the concrete surface. An excavator will then be used to break out the remainder of the area.
Once the drainage is removed, the excavation will be backfilled with concrete. We will use an excavator and a vibrating plate to level the ground.
You may experience increased noise and vibration during these works. We will use noise reducing barriers where possible. We would like to apologise for any disruption or inconvenience this work may cause.
