What we are doing
What we are doing
From 14 November to 3 December 20222, we will be carrying out trial hole surveys on Eastcote Lane and gas main CCTV surveys on Moat Farm Road.
We will be digging trial holes, undertaking ground penetrating radar (GPR) surveys, and investigating the condition of the gas main on Eastcote Lane and Moat Farm Road. The surveys will be conducted in two phases, in the areas shown on the map overleaf.
Our survey team will be working within the carriageway on Moat Farm Road utilising a road closure and they will require a footpath closure on Eastcote Lane to ensure the works can be carried out safely.
How these surveys might affect you
We will be using an excavation vacuum to remove the soil during these works, and we expect that this will create some noise. However, we will be using noise reducing barriers to minimise disruption and will limit its use as much as possible.
Temporary traffic management of a footpath closure will be in place on Eastcote Lane and a road closure on Moat Farm Road.
We will maintain pedestrian access across the bridge, on Eastcote Lane. There will be a clearly signed diversion route via Eastcote Lane, Mandeville Road, and Moat Farm Road to maintain access to Moat Farm Road.
We would like to apologise in advance for the disruption or inconvenience this may cause. Every effort is being taken to ensure that these works are carried out in the least impactful way.
We will ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum.
Location of trial hole and gas main surveys
• Phase one: from 14 – 26 November, trial hole survey on the rail bridge on Eastcote Lane
• Phase two: from 28 November -3 December, road closure on Moat Farm Road gas main CCTV survey. Moat Farm Road will be closed for the duration of the survey works
