What we are doing
From 17 May we are installing a five-storey site office within our worksite on the corner of Stanhope Street and Granby Terrace, next to Langdale. We experienced delays due to the weather conditions and need to continue this work until 22 June. From June to October we will fit out the offices.
To provide a safe working area, a section of Stanhope Street between Park Village East / Augustus Street and Mackworth Street will be closed Mondays to Sundays from 9am to 6pm. Traffic will be diverted via Varndell Street, Cumberland Market and Augustus Street. Local access will be maintained at all times.
Other works carried out within the Euston Throat worksite:
- UKPN onsite substation installation until 16 July. The footpath on Park Village East adjacent to worksite will remain closed for the duration of works, we will reinstate the hoarding and open the footpath. We will be replacing the existing hoarding around our worksite on Stanhope Street in July.
- Weekend sheet piling preparation works –19 and 26 June
We previously informed you we would be carrying out weekend works on 29 May and 5 June, to prepare the Euston Throat worksite for piling. These works have since been rescheduled for 19 and 26 June. - Onsite weekend utility testing – Saturday 26 June 7am to 5pm and Sunday 27 June 10am to 4pm.
We recently installed pipework to provide clean drinking water to our main site office. Before we can use this water supply, we need to test it to ensure the pipes are clear and have been correctly installed. We do not expect any noise or water disruption from these works. - UKPN cable installation on Stanhope Street – rescheduled for 28 June to 9 July
These works will require a southbound lane closure and parking bay suspensions on Stanhope Street.
