What we are doing
Following our site safety stand down, we have now begun a safe restart of works across our sites in Euston Approaches.
We will continue installing sheet piles on site between Hampstead Road bridge and our site office. Due to difficult ground conditions, we will use
a vibratory rig to install the remaining piles. We expect to complete sheet pilling on Friday 24 October.
This change in methodology is likely to result in higher noise and vibration levels, which may be noticeable to residents in the surrounding area.
From Monday 3 November to Friday 14 November we will begin breaking out and removing a section of concrete in ETRC to clear the working area before excavation. We will use acoustic barriers where possible to reduce noise levels. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
