A new high-speed railway station is being built within Solihull, near the M42, A45 Coventry Road and A446 Stonebridge Road, close to the NEC, Birmingham Business Park and Birmingham Airport.
Our next phase of planned works involves cable pulling activities on the newly built roundabout over the trace on the A452 Chester Road, near Melbicks Garden Centre.
To ensure the safety of the public and our workforce, these works will take place during off-peak hours Monday to Friday between 9.30am and
3.30pm under lane closures.
Off-peak daytime lane closures:
• Each weekday between 9.30am and 3.30pm from Monday 10 November until Friday 28 November 2025
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
