What to expect
We sent out a notification at the beginning of last week to let you know that on the 7 August 2023, we would be starting works to install a temporary drainage channel along the alleyway behind the gardens at Carr Road. This will evacuate the water from the alleyway and direct it towards the temporary drainage that has been installed at the site.

We’ve had to delay these works due to other works taking longer than anticipated. The new start date is 14 August 2023, and we expect these works to be completed by the 25 August 2023.

We will be installing the drainage by hand. We will be using a grinder to break out the existing concrete and we expect this to be noisy. We will, however, be monitoring noise and vibration at all times. Acoustic blankets will be used around the work area to supress the noise as much as possible. We will access the alleyway through our hoarding door by removing one section of palisade for access. This will be replaced once the works are complete. The area will be fenced with Heras panels during the works to maintain segregation. There will be no access to that section of the alleyway during our works.

This work will be undertaken in core hours, Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 8am to 1pm.

We would like to apologise in advance for the disruption or inconvenience this may cause. Every effort is being taken to ensure that these works are carried out in the least impactful way.
We will ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum.
