What we are doing

Extending the period of lane and on-slip closure

A new high-speed railway station is being built within Solihull, near the M42, A45 Coventry Road and A446, close to the NEC and Birmingham Business Park.

We recently communicated a lane closure and on-slip closure to undertake some vegetation clearance to create the safe working areas for our workforce and the road realignment works.

To carry out these works safely, we will need to extend the period of these closures as below.

  • A452 on slip full closure from Monday 10 February to Friday 4 April 2025 between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm.
  • A446/A452 southbound single lane closure from Monday 10 February to Friday 4 April 2025 between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm.
  • Packington Lane A452 southbound access/exit closure from Monday 10 February to Friday 4 April 2025 between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm

A452 Packington Lane access

Access to Packington Lane between Monday 10 February to Friday 4 April 2025, will be from the northbound access only via the A452 northbound between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm weekdays.
