What we are doing
A new high-speed railway station is being built in Solihull. It is located close to the M42, M6, A45 Coventry Road and A446 Stonebridge Road/A452 Chester Road near the NEC and Birmingham Business Park. As part of our planned works will now progress with a series of essential utilities activities on a section of the A452 Chester Road and A45 Coventry eastbound exit slip towards Stonebridge Island near (near Toby Carvery Stonebridge).

• From 10pm Monday 3 November until 6am Tuesday 4 November 2025
A452 Chester Road and A45 Coventry Road eastbound exit slip lane closures
Lane closures will remain in place as we carry out our works on the A452 Chester Road and A45 exit slip from 6am Tuesday 4 November until 10pm Friday 21 November 2025.

• From 10pm on Friday 21 November until 6am on Saturday 22 November 2025
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
