Works in Park Village East north

Work Item Summary

The latest update of upcoming and ongoing works in the Euston Approaches includes the following works information:

Sewer connection work #1 – Park Village East south 24 September to 30 October
- Road closure is extended until 30 October due to unforeseen circumstances.
Sewer connection work #2 – Park Village East north (postponed)
- We will also require a road closure at the northern end of Park Village East to install a second sewer connection
- These works were due to start late-October but have been postponed. We will provide you with an update once the new start date is confirmed
Site access installed on Park Village East north. Update: the works are currently postponed, update to be provided in due cause.
- We will install a staircase from street level to track-level at the northern end of Park Village East to provide a safe and direct access for workers.
- The staircase will be positioned within the footway and planter on Park Village East, and extend over the brick parapet wall down to the track-level worksite.
- We will also install a small 24/7 security cabin and hoarding at street-level around the staircase, for safety and security.
- The staircase and security cabin will eventually become part of the lorry lay-by, which we currently plan to install in early 2022. We will continue to keep you updated about the lorry lay-by as plans progress.
- Works will require a lane and footway closure and parking bay suspensions at the northern end of Park Village East. We will also need to clear some of the shrubs from the planter, to make way for the staircase.
