Update notice of concrete breaking works at Old Oak Common

What we are doing

Works at Old Oak Common Site Entrance

We previously notified you of site set-up works at the Old Oak Common station site which were completed at the end of August. We are writing to update you on the next phase of works near to the site entrance.

We will be doing some drainage works which will involve use of a petrol saw to cut through concrete. We will also be working on the surface of the ground to prepare the area for a tarmac surface that will be put on top. To do these works, we will be using an excavator to break up the concrete and a vibratory roller will be used to prepare the area and lay the fresh tarmac.
These works will be done intermittently until the end of November. The working hours for this activity will take place during our working hours of 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 1pm Saturday. There will be no noisy works before 9am or after 5pm.

Although some noise can be expected from these works, we will be using best practicable means to minimise disruption to nearby residents. This includes the use of acoustic blankets around areas we are breaking/ sawing the concrete, and a dust suppressant, which will be provided within the working area to minimise the amount of dust generated during the works.
