What we are doing
What we are doing
We wrote to you in June to inform you that construction to build the ventilation shaft would commence. This work continues as we construct the diaphragm wall for the shaft and excavate to 35 metres below ground level.
• From 3 December 2021 to 4 June 2022, we will be excavating and concreting Monday to Friday, 24 hours a day and Saturdays 8am to 8pm.
In preparation for installation of a water pipe being installed to Yeading Brook, de-vegetation will be required to clear the railway embankment.
• On 5 December 12am to 7am, the initial de-vegetation will take place outside of core hours in the area shown on the map overleaf.
How the work might affect you
The team will use electric powered lighting and equipment to reduce the noise and impact on the local community.
We would like to apologise in advance for any disruption or inconvenience this may cause. Every effort is being taken to ensure that these works are carried out in the least impactful way. We will ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum.
