Update notice of environmental works on land off the A51, Swynnerton

What we are doing

As part of our early environmental works, we will establish critical environmental and species relocation sites creating new habitats for local wildlife before any main construction work starts.

We have been creating ecological mitigation ponds surrounded by grassland habitat creation on land off the A51 between Stab Lane and Tittensor Road. We will use the ponds to relocate any protected species, such as Great Crested Newts.

We are nearing the completion of work on this worksite, and now need to construct a permanent access track into it for maintenance and management.

In order to do this, we need to take deliveries such as concrete wagons, into and out of the site. To do this safely we need to install temporary two-way traffic lights, on the A51 between Stab Lane and Tittensor Road.

We will put the traffic lights in place from Monday 3 April to Friday 5 May 2023, from 9am to 5pm.
