Update: Notice of vegetation clearance and traffic lights on Wood End Lane, Lichfield

What we are doing

HS2 Ltd is proposing to make changes to the junction of the A515 and Wood End Lane, with further widening to Wood End Lane. This is to improve traffic flows during the construction of HS2.

We previously informed you of our vegetation works and temporary traffic lights along Wood End Lane between 13 February and 3 March 2023.

The works have been progressing well; however, we did pause our works last week to undertake due diligence check on ecology.  Due to the slight delay we need to extend the duration of the two-way temporary traffic lights along the carriageway until 31 March 2023.  The extension is to complete an important hedgerow translocation which formed part of the vegetation works.

To safely complete the translocation, we will have up to a further fifteen days of lane closures with temporary two-way traffic lights on Wood End Lane between A515 and Watery Lane and the A515.

Monday 13 March until Friday 31 March 2023 – 8am to 5pm, weekdays only.
