What we are doing

Overnight weekend working
We wrote to you in April to let you know about our plans to install a new track drainage and cable troughing next to the railway line. These works were delayed and will now take place from Saturday 1 October to Sunday 11 December 2022.

We will be working outside of the site hoarding line from Saturday night until Sunday afternoon. These works will take place overnight from Saturday 6pm to Sunday 5pm in planned closures of the Network Rail line, over an eleven week period.  The Central Line is not affected by these works and will remain in operation.

In order to install the drainage and troughing, we will be using an excavator that sits on the rail track and excavates parallel to the existing rail line. Materials and new drainage will also be lifted into position using the excavator.

We will be using mains lighting where possible to illuminate the localised area of the work. However, we may need to use a small mobile generator to provide lighting at particular times.

The work is down at railway level, so noise and lighting should cause minimal effect on residential properties. We will, however continue to review our lighting use, to ensure it is facing away from neighbouring properties.

How these works might affect you
We would like to apologise in advance for any disruption or inconvenience this may cause. Every effort is being taken to ensure that these works are carried out in the least impactful way.

We will ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum.
