Update on boundary wall and drainage works at South Ruislip Vent Shaft, Victoria Road

What we are doing

We are building the boundary walls of the South Ruislip Vent Shaft. We are also doing on-site drainage works which are ongoing to June 2027. We are continuing to build concrete boundary walls and are installing security fences on them. Once the western boundary wall and fencing is complete, we will move the hoarding back to its original position. The western boundary wall will be completed by June 2026, we will then continue works on the eastern, southern and northern boundary walls until June 2027. Drainage works on site are ongoing. These works include ground excavation and installation of pipes and manholes.

We are working on phase 2 and expect to start phase 4 from late March 2026. Phase 3 is currently on pause due to other works on site. The locations of the works and phases are shown on the map below.

Residents may experience some noise and vibration. We will use noise reducing barriers and water sprays to reduce dust. We apologise for any inconvenience these works may cause.

HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
