What we are doing
We wrote to you in June to let you know that we would be doing overnight grouting to prepare the ground ahead of the start of tunnelling.
The site will be undertaking this work over two weekends in the next few weeks.
We will continue to work Monday to Friday 24 hours a day during the week. However, these works will take place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September and Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 October 2022, 24 hours a day.
We will use three drilling rigs, a dumper for moving muck away from the bore hole and an excavator.
How the work might affect you
The team will use electric powered lighting and machinery to reduce noise impacts on the local community.
Noise reduction fencing will be used at night, to reduce noise levels.
We would like to apologise in advance for any disruption or inconvenience this may cause. Every effort is being taken to ensure that these works are carried out in the least impactful way.
We will ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum.
