What we are doing
We wrote to you in September 2023, to let you know that we would be installing a new gas main on Greenford Road from 24 September 2023 to 18 March 2024. These works are ongoing, however we will be extending the traffic management further down Greenford Road towards Bennetts Avenue while we dig a pit on the pavement. Access will be maintained to the properties, adjacent to the extension, during these works.
Bridge surveys
We will be undertaking night-time bridge surveys on Greenford Road utilising the current site set up. These works will be on 16 and 17 February 2024 between 9pm and 5am.
We will be installing monitoring equipment on the underside of the railway bridge on Greenford Road.
We will erect a mobile scissor lift platform within the work areas shown on the map overleaf so that we can carry out the installations safely.
There will be a pedestrian footpath closure so that we can work safely. A diversion route will be in place. We will then move to the other side of the road so that we can install the monitoring equipment on the opposite underside of the bridge.
Traffic management with a lane closure and temporary traffic lights will be in place on Greenford Road 24 hours a day for the duration of these works.
